A Good Old Fashioned Monster Mash
It’s time to get your ghoul on! Relive your childhood and adolescence with an old fashioned monster mash party where every ghoul, from Dracula to Frankenstein is welcome! Don’t forget to serve Dead Man’s Fingers (sausages), Eyeballs (lychees), Brain Jelly and Squashed Frog Tarts (spinach and cheese quiche) as you bask in the glow of multiple Jack’o lanterns. Get a little nostalgic with black and orange paper chains, pin-the-arm-on-the-zombie and maybe even a grown up version of murder in the dark! Why not try creating some fun cocktails for your guests too?
Zombies
The undead of the hour, you won’t find a shortage of zombie related things to do for your party. If you feel like getting really active why not try playing a no holds barred game of humans verses Zombies? Have your gusts come as characters from various zombie survival films and games (Resident Evil, World War Z or The Walking Dead) and have some screaming good fun as you dance it up to Thriller, sip on Zombie cocktails and party hard enough to wake the dead.
Vampires
From moody sparkling teenagers to corsets, capes and elegant evening wear there’s a vampire style for anyone. Treat your guests to a night of vampiric elegance, sipping sweet, sweet blo-wine from crystal glasses and nibbling on mini medium rare hamburgers. Don’t forget to keep the curtains closed though, you don’t want any of your guests turning to ash if you end up dancing until dawn!
I Know What You Did In the Hostel with the Saw (a horror themed party)
If you fancy having a movie night instead of a full on party then invite round your nearest and dearest then scare them silly with such favourites as The Cabin In The Woods, Psycho and Halloween. Add a little trick to your night of treats by having someone pop up outside the dark window in a scream mask, you’re sure to get a squeal from someone.
Ghostly Goings On
If you’re feeling the need to be dead glamorous why not hold a party and invite your guests to come as the Ghosts of Hollywood Past. Glitz up your partying space with some old fashioned tasteful black and white decorations, offer champagne and listen to Old Blue Eyes as your guests haunt your house for the next few hours having a frightfully good time
Who Dunnit?
You don’t have to be restrained with the Cluedo cliché any more. Take elements from your favourite crime solving dramas and mix them up for the delight of your guests. Kitchens become crime labs and guests can dance in the briefing room-cum-crime scene, if you want to bring in elements of shows like Breaking Bad you can buy the blue candy they used to simulate meth and hand it out to your friends. Don’t forget to play out your who dunnit mystery though and maybe even have a prize for the winner.
