Think of it this way: on your shopping trip do you want to spend your time trying on dresses you like or the ones your outspoken friends like? The more people in the room the more opinions overshadowing your own there will be. Even if you think your friends will be respectful that it is your decision and your taste that matters, the probably won’t and you will be surprised at how hard it is to ignore the 10 other opinions in the room. An ideal shopping party is comprised of you and just two other people—a mother and a sister or close friend.
Do Bring Things with You
You should have, by now some idea of what you are looking for. Make sure you bring the magazine cutouts or printed pictures of the different styles, lengths, necklines, and waistlines you liked with you to show the salesperson. This will help them to find something comparable within their own stock of dresses. Also, if you have items that you have already decided will be a part of your wedding, such as your veil, a headpiece, shoes, or a special heirloom or accessory bring those with you as well. If you find a dress you like you will want to be sure it goes well with the item(s) you have already decided on for your special day—because what good are Lazaro wedding dresses if they don’t match your grandmother’s pearls?
