Lighting Landscape Taken To The Next Level With LED Lighting

You may have heard of landscape lighting; the art of lighting gardens, homes and other buildings with an array of different lights that picks out the very best of its surrounding environment, but have you heard of the International Special Attractions company? They are a company that take landscape lighting to the next level and they are thinking of bringing their very own slice of luminosity to our very own Blackpool City.

If you thought landscape lighting was impressive, you’ll be blown away by what the International Special Attractions company do. Whilst landscape lighting is the act of subtly placing lights in areas in which they create a magical affect as they strike surfaces outside. But the projects that the International Special Attractions company work on are usually far more vast and they don’t exactly practice the art of hiding their light sources – because everything about what they do is light.

What do they do?

They create huge environments of objects that are built with light or lit from the inside – they have luminous totem poles, glowing flowers (reminiscent of those scenes in Avatar), effervescent light displays over water, buildings completely constructed from light and huge Chinese temples that are simply dazzling. Their Luminasia display, (or exhibition I guess) leads you through numerous environments – a Chinese town, a watery world, a glowing garden and more. Different parts of the exhibition moves; twisting and turning – everything about the attraction is eye catching and engaging.

There are two things that make the world of Luminasia and the other exhibitions put on by the International Special Attractions company even more special. The first is its sheer interactivity, the displays encourage engagement, and members of the ISA team encourage children and adults alike to actually interact with some of the environments as they pass through them. The second is that the entirety of lights used on the attraction are LED. This is simply another great advert for the versatility and effectiveness of LED lighting.

The International Special Attractions company have put on a number of different shows in the past and have incorporated their own renditions of famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Taj Mahal. Other incredible exhibitions have included the Ice Kingdom where 15,000 square foot of attractions, such as gigantic ice sculptures and ice slides have been lit in equally impressive, cool LED lighting.

What’s Next?

Targeted Blackpool’s Olympia Arena as the next venue for their bizarre displays which will make it The International Special Attractions company havethe only of its sort on the continent – the others being confined thus far to China and the USA. The initial concept seems ambitious as they intend on spreading their displays over five floors and 5,000 square feet with five different interactive worlds. The expansive exhibition is planned to be mad e entirely out of silk, wire and the LED lighting that illuminates the bright colours. The silk won’t be damaged because LEDs don’t produce heat; just another reason that LEDs are the perfect lighting tool for their attraction.
